Super Easy and Fun Non-Nail Nail Polish Ideas
2 Super Easy DIY Nail Polish Designs
Nail Polish is super multi usable! Sometimes I think it shouldn’t even be called nail polish, just… polish.
First Easy Craft:
Nail Polish Watercolor!
Step 1: Pick 3-5 polish colors that go together well (ex. White, lavender, purple)
Step 2: Paint a stroke of each color on a makeup sponge, overlapping slightly.
Step 3: Douse the makeup wedge in nail polish remover. The wedge is very absorbent, so do this over a sink.
Step 4: Squish the wedge around a little. The color should blend.
Step 5: Stamp the wet wedge on a piece of paper. (Make sure there is another piece or two of paper beneath it, just in case) Let dry.
Step 6: Enjoy your beautiful watercolor art! A great way to use it is to write a loved one’s name on it and give it to them.
Second Easy Craft:
Nail Polish Drip Cup!
Give your pencil cup a little pizzaz with an artistic paint drip!
Step 1: Pick an assortment of complementary colors (I used about 5)
Step 2: Take one color and drip a generous amount at the top of the cup. I learned that fast-drying nail polish works better for dripping and drying.
Step 3: Create two or three more drips of the same color. Connect the drips at the top, creating an arch.
Step 4: Drip enough arches to circle around the entire cup.
Step 5: Voila! You have a pretty cup!
WARNING: Do not put the drips too close together. On one, the white accidentally went inside a pink one and I had to drip white all over the pink one (shown here).
TIPS: Fast-drying nail polish like Insta-dry work better on the dripping because they don’t run super far and dry faster. Also, make sure the nail polish is fresh because old, chunky nail polish will drip terribly.
