Here I am (Alexis) to talk about another tasty mistake... the popsicle!
One day, Frank Epperson left a soda mixture on his front porch one chilly day. He forgot to take it inside after going in to grab something and when he came out the next day, the spoon had frozen into the mixture! When he tried to wrench it out, the whole frozen mixture slid out too! He licked it, and loved it, although it was huge. He started to make smaller "Epsicles" and when his grandchildren started to call it "Pop's 'sicle" they convinced him to sell the name. With his mascot, Popsicle Pete, his company soared, and the delicious popsicle we know today was born.
